When Shannon and I first started emailing about planning her engagement session in Richmond, Virginia, she knew right away that she wanted Maymont and Belle Isle. A mix classic European garden vibes at Maymont with the rough juxtaposition of the rocks and riverfront along Belle Isle, it felt ideal. Richmond has so many great locations for engagement sessions but Maymont and Belle Isle are always top of my list as a photographer! Luckily, we’ve done many engagement sessions at these spots and know how to find all the secret hidden spots!

Shannon and Sam, we had a blast hanging out with you all Sunday evening and learning more about your wedding day!! These two grew up in neighboring towns, had mutual friends, and both went to UVA (at the same time!) but never met until after college when they both moved back to RVA! How crazy is it that our lives can be so interwoven with another’s and yet it still takes the right time and place to fall in love.
